VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) developed this standard to ensure compatibility between TVs and wall mounts, allowing users to easily mount their screens.

The VESA pattern is typically described by two numbers, such as 75 x 75, 100 x 100, or 200 x 200, which represent the horizontal and vertical distance (in millimeters) between the mounting holes. For example, a 200x200 VESA pattern means the holes are 200 mm apart horizontally and 200 mm apart vertically.
